Castles of Gondar

Fasil Ghebbi was the residence of Emperor Fasilides in the
1700's  and his successors continued to live there and build
 new buildings. The compound is about 17 acres and was
 surrounded by a 900 meter long wall.  There are 7 castles
 including a Library, Banquet Hall,Stables, Churches,
and even a Lions Den.
