Kuskuam Church and Monastery in Gondar

Kuskuam Church and Monastery built
by the Empress Mintwab around 1730.
Young men studying to become priests
and memorizing "Ge'ez" for many years.
This woman was a monk who ground the grain
to make the flour, then the communion bread.

The Palace Compound.

Ancient holy books written in "Ge'ez"
 The museum held these items.
The Empress slept on the upper bunk
 except when she was expecting,
then she slept on the lower bunk.

The remains of Empress
